Moat Mountain Brewing

Open since 2000, Moat Mountain Smokehouse is a 174-seat brew pub, restaurant, and inn located in one of North Conway's most historic buildings. The Moat became the first brewpub in the Mt. Washington Valley, owner Stephen Johnson, chef by trade, pursued his love for craft beer by restoring the Limmer Barn in Intervale, NH, opening the Moat Mountain Brewing Company Brewery Barn and Cannery in 2013. Before Stephen bought the Limmer barn they hand packaged and distributed out of the restaurant brewery. The Brew Pub houses 6 feremnters and 6 brite tanks along with its 7-barrel system. The Brewery Barn & Cannery houses 15 fermenters , 8 horizontal Lagering tanks and 9 bite tanks producing up to 5K barrels of beer per year with its 20-barrel system. The Brewery Barn and Cannery provides year-round availability of many of our brews in both draft and 16-ounce cans. We continue to brew right at the Smokehouse, focusing on more specialty ales and lagers for our guests to enjoy on-site!
